My stay was regrettably too short; I truly wish I could have extended it. Port Elizabeth is vastly underrated, offering an abundance of activities. I yearned for a longer holiday, ideally spanning five days! The city is breathtaking, with its friendly people, pristine cleanliness, and refreshing ambiance.

The area I stayed at in Summerstrand was very beautiful and quiet. It’s clean and close to the beaches. Overall, I found PE to be relatively laid back. A cosy city for a traveller needing some peace and quiet.

Professional yet warm and friendly hosts that made us feel comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and the facilities are exactly what we wanted. Much attention to safety and environmental aspects that provide a sense of security and serenity.
Highly recommended and I will definitely be back. Thank you Tommy and Leonie ❤️

Port Elizabeth is a beautiful coastal city with miles of beaches and is true to its nickname the Friendly City. The older parts in Central have stunning views and buildings but unfortunetaly the local government has allowed it to become neglected, uncared for and in some places dangerous. What a pity, as the old centre with its harbour views and gracious historical buildings should be the gem of the city.
That said, there are still other places worth a visit as property owners in the central area really make an effort to keep their properties well maintained and in the spirit of what it used to be.
There are many restaurants and my favourites are the local ones, each with their own vibe and unique menus. I just love Port Elizabeth.

Gqeberha to give its official name is a fairly relaxed place as largish cities go. It has great beaches though you need to be prepared for windy weather that can reduce the fun of being on a beach.
There is a lot of history, with interesting sites to visit. Also some great food options.
It is not the country’s top tourist hot spot but has plenty of attractions that are in any case better enjoyed without a massive crowd.
A colonial style hotel. I can’t single out any of the staff as they were all very good. Big rooms and a splendid balcony. Also, a superb bathroom with an excellent shower and the option of a deep bath if that’s your preference. The room servicing was immaculate The food was outstanding. I was on my own in the dining room each night yet the food was as good as any I’ve enjoyed over the years and I have now reached old git status. Sincerely, one of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
No breakfast, no sea view
I was not told about the extra day of stay.
The photos at the advert are mixed, so I booked a facility and I found something else,
On the advert page it appeared as a special, and when it comes to payment it was full price,
With that price I could have booked a far better facility in summerstrand because I
Booked an apartment to my surprise I found a student room, you could even hear a guy
Next talking on his phone.
So I must say it was a bad experience.
Great location - across the road from the beach and next to a big shopping/food hall. Quaint hotel - nicely presented, good facilities. Rooms were comfortable . Food and beverage options very good. Buffet dinner - varied and well priced. Breakfast buffet also well stocked with a variety of options. due to our evening flight departure upon check out our suitcases were stored securely at the hotel for the day. Secure parking was free as well.
I enjoyed the peaceful and tranquil setting in the country side which wasn't far from town and the beach. Having travelled a lot I liked that the property was very quiet which can often be a problem when staying at Guest Houses. The accommodation itself was perfect for our self-catering needs , very clean and the hosts accommodating. I will stay there again if we go back to Port Elizabeth.
We had a lovely 1 night stay at Lullaby House Air B&B while we were in Port Elizabeth on a business trip. The room was clean, neat and comfortable with a wonderful view of the sea from the balcony. There was enough parking space for vehicles and the house from the outside was beautiful. Definitely value for money and the staff were friendly and professional.
It was actually value for money if you put into regards that it's quite cheaper than most accommodations in Summerstrand, but quite cozy. Great fast wifi and there's a TV in each room with access to an already working Netflix account for each room. The owner himself was very accommodating. Would definitely go back when I go to PE
The owners welcomed us with a warm chat and a tour of the surroundings.
The hotels theme is great and well kept-looks brand new!
Food wise- we had one of the best breakfasts- all so fresh and great variety.
Complimentary drinks and minibar was included.
Excellent value for money. Wish we could have stayed a bit more.
Room Service took ages to answer phone.
Check-In clerk gave incorrect information.
Poor menu for supposedly up-market restaurant.
Long wait to check-in.
Very basic furnishings in room.
Generally, not worth the money. Better hotels and accommodation experiences at lower rates.
A quiet location in the suburb of Summerstrand. A very spacious and well-provisioned room with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Filter coffee with a plunger was a special touch. A very friendly hostess and staff added to the pleasure of the stay.
I was disappointed that the guesthouse was not beachfront as advertised. As a foreigner, I was travelling for work and not comfortable enough to rent a car and it was a bit uncomfortable to walk to basic stores. The staff was impeccable and helpfull.
This cosy little place is located near Port Elizabeth’s airport, very convenient for those who want to take a flight to Kruger national park. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Their little garden is a nice place to relax.
This is a central beachfront hotel although we didnt have a sea view room this time (I didnt request it).
We love the lobby / lounge / patio area and the consistently high standard of cleanliness everytime we have stayed there.
I like the location of the Hotel. I like the pool and breakfast set-up. I like the sea views and I like the Hotel in general which is within walking distance to most entertainment facilities on the beachfront.
Comfortable accommodation slightly up on the hills of Summerstrand, close to the city and close to the main tourist areas, fairly easy to find. Self catering all provided.
The staff are exceptionally friendly, the breakfast is better than most 5 star hotels, and while I was there, they were busy putting in batteries to avoid loadshedding.
Property outside of Port Elizabeth on the way to Addo Elephant reserve good location if you have a car. Property under new ownership . Owners very nice and helpful.
